Red disagrees. I saw hot garbage in the 90's and this ain't it. I would say our passing game is not SEC caliber, for sure. But nobody really expected that this year anyway.
its because hes the weak link. we want the others to carry him and when he finally makes a decent pass the others should pick him up. there is no room for error in this passing game. the wide receivers have to carry jennings if we want to be successful. maybe that added pressure contributes to the drops as well.
I seem to remember our passing game being better in the 90s, but that dark era is all a haze. No doubt we're better off now, even without a passing game (not sec caliber? Is it 1a caliber?). I said it before, Les' 10 year plan for passing game is sorry. I'll keep your head in the sand in the ugly category.
We all saw the play where NO ONE was on Dural. He didn't know enough to change the play and snap the damn ball.
that was a killer. despite all the mistakes, we are in it if he grabs that one. perfect call. PERFECT (good call, les and good throw jordan jennings). he gets just inside the 10 if he makes the play.
He should. I wonder if the WR's, TE's and RB's would be more consistent if we had attempted to develop a short passing game early in the season instead of the occasional throw if and only if it is the last option. It's hard to develop consistency when you are only targeted 3-4 times a game and only 1-2 of those passes is even close to catchable. With the talent LSU has how can the coaching staff explain fielding a passing attack that ranks behind 100 other teams?
well yeah, we see everything danielson circles and points out. its easy after the fact. during the game, our qb is not comfortable enough to be reading tells from players or defenses for that matter. goes back to being comfortable in the passing game. we are not and wont be maybe ever.
The QB has no idea what the defense is because he's facing the sideline the entire time pre snap waiting for the coaches to call in adjustments. The coaches know because they are looking at the defense, but it seems crazy to handicap your QB by not letting him look over the D. Maybe that's why Jennings looks so clueless most of the time. Also could be a reason we're not seeing him develop and improve.
