The Bad is putting all your eggs on AJ. I'm sorry but Harris deserves a shot. Had AJ threw better early on LSU has a nice lead. He may have better command of things but his passing is lacking. Also the damn meerkat offense costed us a possible TD when no one was on Dural. The Ugly is calling for the squib kick. I know many feel it is the smart thing but was not executed. I disagree, I rather put the ball in play and trust my coverage which had been great all game. Then Chavis went back to his pathetic prevent D. Dropping too far off the man and giving them the sidelines. Unlike the Ole Miss game he quit pressuring the QB. That gave Bama the drive. During the game why was Collins mostly on Cooper? White pretty much shut him down. Once again, bad coaching. White should have followed Cooper all over the field. The LSU players out played Bama players. Saban and staff outcoached Miles and staff. That was the difference. As for the refs, that was a horrible no call at end but the refs let both sides play.
He definitely doesn't go through check downs. He'll stand in the pocket a second too long but ALWAYS locked in on primary receiver.
For everyone who says it should be Harris in there and not Jennings, I just saw this Harris tweet from a few days ago. Sounds like he even knows that he's not ready yet, so let's not go crazy on the coaching staff. I think they know more about the situation than we do. https://twitter.com/bharrisqb1/status/529831333544333313
It was pretty loud, about the same as Ole Miss. It's just that Bama doesn't check off as much on every single play like Ole Miss was trying to do. Bama was seriously using hand signals, Nick was ready for the noise. One of the reasons that Tiger Stadium has long been a loud stadium was that the lower bowl was completely enclosed with the same height and basic configuration all around. No open end zones and no open corners like many stadiums. The sound just reverberated like a drum compared to most stadiums that had only sideline grandstands back in the day and maybe some bleachers behind the end zones. The addition of the East and West upper decks surprisingly didn't really increase the loudness much. But the new South end zone upper deck is continuous with the east and west at full height. It's like a taller bowl. That reverberation is increased and we can hear more noise from the upper decks.
he one read-option play was better than jennings who looked confused as f running it. a tweet wont change what is seen on the field. and jennings is really bad. harris likely couldnt do much worse and the upside is much more. the coaching staff cant coach either qb to complete 10 passes a game. i dont care what they think.
cbs did nothing to capture the sound/atmosphere like ESPN did for ole miss. it was night and day difference. last night sounded (from the tv) like just another game. very disappointing but i assumed it was cbs' fault.
