http://m.bleacherreport.com/article...ive-qb-brandon-harris-another-shot-as-starter I'm not saying make Harris the starter. But in the immortal words of Billy Jack, all I am saying is give Harris a chance.
Perhaps A&M and Arkansas will provide more opportunities for some Harris drives than the top-5 teams we have been playing recently. I think Les is doing him favor by not putting it all on him before he's ready. Multiple failures as a freshman ruined Jarret Lee's confidence permanently. If we had had an upperclassman quarterback, Harris would have redshirted this year and Jennings would be learning the job as a backup. But we have to deal with what we've got. We are shallow at QB and we need both of these guys next year playing at a higher level.
Putting a lot of responsibility and pressure on a guy who is clearly struggling and sending a message to Harris that he's so bad that despite the passing troubles he can't even sniff the field. I think this method is rough on Jennings and Harris. I'd play both, probably Jennings more than Harris.
Not quite. He's putting everything on Lee when JJ could be sharing the load. I mean, he's putting everything on Jennings when Harris could be sharing the load. He isn't sharing the load - too much pressure on Jennings and basically telling Harris to suck eggs. This has happened before, to appalling results. Let me head-off the W/L record argument, I think we all acknowledge Miles has won a lot. H-E-double hockeysticks, we could still win 10 games, with losses to only top 25 teams (or better, depending on how the season plays out).
