When the fuck have you seen me bring up borties (has a smoking hot gf btw) or luck? I knew you were senile. And just what do any of those qbs have to do with the shitty one we have now?
A lot of our fans gave up on the entire season after the AU game, but our team didn't give up, and has gone on to have a highly-competitive season, in spite of that early disaster. Because of that, I don't think the coaches plan an experimenting at QB at all. Jennings is not setting the world on fire at all, but they are not going to throw Harris in all that early on. It won't happen, so don't set yourself up for disappointment when it doesn't occur. Harris has looked good in a couple of games late, and he had a really, really terrible start at AU. He wasn't ready. Do we want him thrown out there like Lee was when he wasn't ready?
I was the one who brought up Luck and Bortles. I believe the comment was made in comparing, smart, talented passers to what we have seen during the majority of Miles tenure. It could have been anyone of equivalent talent. Not sure where they come from really matter. Just that they can throw the ball, read defenses, go through progressions, and make smart decisions in the pocket. TigerTap, Miles' tranny secret lover, likes to put words in other peoples mouth, while his mouth is full of something else.
I, too, think Harris deserves some snaps, but he doesn't deserve to start. The reason I feel he hasn't gotten in is because the last 2 games were tight all night and obviously went right down to the wire. There was really no where to insert him into the game without messing up what little rhythm they had. And the success Harris has had over Jennings can probably be attributed to inferior competition. The success he's had against SEC teams, Ms. State in particular, was when they had their 2nd and 3rd string players in the game and were playing soft zone in an effort to keep the clock running. The times he's faced a 1st team SEC defense, he couldn't do anything. I still think he's the future and I want to get him in game experience against elite competition, but not at the expense of destroying his confidence before he's even ready for that challenge.
To be fair, yes he was given a shot and "he failed", but he was not exactly set up for success. If they really wanted to see what he could do, they would tell themselves the same thing you have said yourself, his nerves got the best of him and he overthrew a lot of open receivers. Lets see what he can do when his nerves are a bit more settled, which equates to lets put him out there over and over and see if he starts to perform to expectation. Some people are just gamers, and the more experience they get, the more they learn , the better they perform, and the more they come through when it matters. He seems like a gamer to me. Just needs the opportunity, and not just one, but several, to really see if he is or isn't up to the task.
I certainly commend Miles and staff for the turn around after the Auburn game. I also commend the players for the heart they continue to show. It has been a great turn around to save this season. I'm pround of them and to be a Tiger fan. I get everything you're saying but AJ does not have much more experience than Harris. Thing is neither is fully ready. Which is why they should have let it play out in the games, not anoint AJ the starter. Personally, I'd rather see the QB who is the better passer and who has lead the team to more TD drives.
Another good: What a day! Man proposes to LSU cheerleader girlfriend on Tiger Stadium sideline before Alabama-LSU game ADVOCATE STAFF REPORT Nov. 11, 2014 The outcome of Saturday's Alabama-LSU game likely didn't dampen the day for DeRon Talley and Patience Phillips. And thanks to a video that has gone viral on Facebook, almost anyone can share in Talley and Phillips' joy. The Facebook video shows Talley, editor of the Gonzales Weekly Citizen, getting on one knee on the Tiger Stadium sideline before the game and proposing to his girlfriend Patience, an LSU cheerleader, in front of her teammates. "About last night... On Nov. 8, 2014 I stepped up to kneel down and ask Patience Phillips for her hand in marriage. She said yes and we begin the next chapter in our lives together. #AgapeLove #CommittedToBeingCommitted," Talley said in a Facebook post. As of Monday night, the video has gotten more than 60,000 views, according to Facebook's public metrics. Click here to view photos of the proposal.
BH had a bad outing in his first start on the road against a Top 5 team. AJ had a horrible outing at home in his 6th start against NMSU. Prior to the Wisconsin game both Miles and Cameron said the two QBS were neck and neck and that neither had separated from the other so I have trouble wrapping my head around the "BH sucks and isn't ready" trope. You do remember that AJ wasn't much better against Auburn. They finished with about equal total yards.
