How can AJ not be Miles guy? You keep defending Miles for playing AJ but what has he done? Harris has lead LSU to TD's at a far higher percentage than AJ has. AJ has not played well in several games. The only real opportunity Harris had to start was the Auburn game. Then Miles quickly went back to AJ. Say what you want but it is clearly a one sided affair.
I could care less where Harris or AJ are from. I care that AJ has been given far more chances than Harris. In his time Harris has been far more proficient at leading LSU to TD's. Sure he really stunk it up at Auburn but AJ has stunk it up in pretty my every game outside of a couple. Harris may not be the answer, but he deserves more of a legit shot. There is no way someone could give me a legit reason that AJ has been the full time starter other than him being Miles' guy?
You act like Harris didn't totally suck in his game as a starter. Ran the wrong way on several plays, missed five wide open receivers, etc. I don't thinks Les needs defending. He's doing the smart thing to win football games. No one has more at stake than him.
I do not at all deny that Harris stunk it up against Auburn. Harris also outplayed AJ in the two games both were given legit PT. Also, AJ went one way the other night when everyone else went the other. Mistakes are made. Harris has proven deserving of more time. I have no doubt LSU would be a better offensive team with him at the helm.
The only reason is that he has a better understand of the playbook. Other than that Harris has had a much higher percentage of TD's per drive. Isn't scoring TD's the object of the O? Hmm, if so then Harris should be playing more than AJ.
Jennings did this vs Bama. Jennings called a run play and ran the wrong way. He also missed wide open guys. Both guys had WRs drop balls. Yes, Harris had a horrible game, but so has Jennings a NUMBER of times.
No problem with that, its just when and how much. Benching Jennings in a tight game when he is not fouling up is not the time. I have plenty of doubts.
AJ may not foul up much but he has been missing a lot of open receivers. It should have been planned after the Auburn game to give them each a few drives early on. See which player is performing better and go from there. I honestly feel that despite maybe not having the grasp of things Harris' passing and running would prove more beneficial than AJ's better game management. I just look at the TD percentages of Harris to AJ. Rather than the one start he had where he bombed. AJ has not played well in any game. On the other hand Harris shined in two.
