No need to reveal any more of the playbook to Ole Miss and Bama when we can blow out a ranked SEC West team with a vanilla offense. I think we will see much more passing as Harris gains confidence and we need it. It helps that SEC defenses are going to be focused on ways to avoid being embarassed Fournette. Harris will get opportunities to burn them for 8 in the box and he must pass better than the two badly thrown potential TD passes he tossed yesterday.
I get what you're saying about not showing too much. However you still have to establish a rhythm between the QB and receivers. If for some reason the OL can't establish the run we need to be able to pass better. Just look at the Miss St game as an example, the game was nearly blown.
Nothing more to say about the ground game - it's fantastic. Fournette is on another planet, but Williams and Guice also look good, and Harris has made great decisions on the zone read (and then has run it well himself). I hope we use these next few games to really work on balance offensively. No need for it Saturday, but we really need to get Harris sharp and explore ways to get dynamic players like Dupre, Diarse and Quinn more involved. I trust the coaches saw the soft spot in the middle of our D when we were spread out, and I believe they will make the adjustments. Defense is very athletic and will only get better. This can be a really fun team to watch.
Meant the way he runs not his physique, Walter was the perfect combination of speed strengh and moves.
Cecil ran 2 miles, in the dark, with a door knob in one hand and those big blue lights flashing. Pretty dam impressive if you ask me.
