Play calling was definitely more deceptive, less predictable and less conservative. It's not always what you call, but when you call it also.
Another positive IMO was the play of Rickey Jefferson. Was making hard hits everywhere. I like what I've seen from him in two games this season.
I disagree to the fullest. In both games the D is lights out GOOD. They seem to suffer the fate of the O in that Steele is NOT changing the scheme for anyone. Good or bad that is what we are seeing. I mean, it was 24-0 before AU got on the board on basically a busted play. Its not like they just ran it up our ass. The 2nd TD was bullshit and we all know it. The drive was also dead but that fat turd Johnson got a pass off before getting sacked and saved their drive. Very fluky. Finally, the last TD we had some fresh guys in and were not as jacked as the first half. Look around the SEC. No one really has a crazy stout D right now. Ours is looking nice when you look at our schedule moving forward.
The play calling was better for this game but still not as open as it needs to be. I don't like that touch pass to Dural, we ran it too often. I was amazed when Guice was finally able to run the ball. Also a few too many WR screens, we have to be a downfield threat. Every play Guice was ever in was always a pass play. I was amazed to see him finally get a carry. Damn, did he look good. I think he is most certainly the second best back at LSU. I think Harris needs to pass more to gain confidence. That said he needs to step up big time though because he is missing but the WR's need to make some catches as well. Putting Fournette back in after getting hurt was just plain STUPID. Nothing more needs to be said about Fournette. I think he will go down as the greatest Tiger ever. Godchaux is looking like a stud. I expect big things from him over the next two years. Tolliver looks like an
I think the important thing was being 2-0 heading down the stretch. The schedule eases up for the team and Harris will have ample time to refine his skill-set.
That was hilarous! Could not believe I heard what I heard when he said it. Funny how Gary did not let it go.
