http://mweb.cbssports.com/ncaaf/eye...ss-td-submitted-to-sec-office?FTAG=YHF7e3228e Well it seems as though Saban has lodged a complaint about the illegal man downfield not being called against Ole Miss, still no word if Les has.
No Tyrannasuarus Mathieu but 2011 had no Buga Nation. And this year's O line is better. So are the receivers if we ever use them. Harris a not only a better passer than Jefferson, he is also a better runner. Jalen Mills should be back before Bama and Ole Miss. If Arden Key keeps getting better he will be a major force. The only real worry I have is depth at linebacker and D Line.
I believe the offense is better than in 2011, but let's not act like that's some big achievement. If we are talking what position is better than the other this is the way I see it comparing the 2 years. QB - 2015 (of all the qb's on the roster in 2011 and 2015, Mettenberger is the best of the bunch, maybe Harris will have something to say about that, I do however feel there is more talent on this roster) RB - 2015 WR - 2011 (chose them because even though Beckham started and Landry didn't play much, the 2 greatest receivers in LSU history can't be overlooked) OL - 2015 TE - 2015 DL- 2011 LB - 2011 (I would still say Beckwith is a better linebacker than the starters for 2011, remember in 2011 Minter wasn't the stud he was in 2012, but as a whole, 2011 was more talented) CB - 2011 Safety - 2011 (Reid I feel is better than Adams but this is another that can change with time) K - 2011 P - 2011 Returners - 2011 (Another that could change, Mathieu just had some really big returns) Kick coverage - 2011 We will see how the season ends, maybe some of these are revised.
Linebacker is huge. You could make the case that other than Fournette, Beckwith is the most important player on the team. If he goes down LSU's defense is screwed.
I think he's saying that there is a huge difference between special teams of the 2011 team and this years team with 2011 special teams being better.
