My 8 year old wanted to watch the new episode of the ninja turtles. It was better than the game, and it took my mind off of it.
So does mine. Horrible. The shit of it is that she knows they're goofy, but watches them, anyway. She's smarter than me, though; she knows watching those crap movies will not raise her blood pressure.
The Heisman pose comes to mind. He has a long way to go. To salvage my weekend, football wise, I hope Mingo sacks Mallet 5 times (Browns - Texans). I would hate for my teams to be beaten twice in the same weekend by an Arkansas QB.
Right, that's the downside of the analogy. But the question is, is it time to gamble that Harris won't be another JJ? I think so.
Before the Bama game when we were still in contention in a muddled West Division, it made more sense to play the steadier guy with some experience rather than start all over with a greener guy. The safe road worked to upset a top-3 team and kept us viable longer than most predicted in September. After Bama, it mades more sense to play them both before the half and go with whoever has the hotter hand. We are not risking any co-lead of the SEC West. Harris should have gotten a drive. Perhaps in the second quarter, certainly the third, just to give him a chance to remove the zero and show that he has gotten better. Or not better. If he came in, missed receivers, and turned it over twice, Jennings could still return. But if he hit some passes and sparked the offense, we could have used it. Think Harris must play at A&M, whether he starts or not.
Hoss, I think you are the only occupant of the Miles bandwagon this AM. After last night I gave up my seat. Les is the 6th highest paid HC and we have the highest paid staff of assistants. I'm not sure we're getting our moneys worth. I respect Les as a person, but I'm beginning to think that maybe today's game has passed him by. The days of Bo Schembechler and the 3 yards and cloud of dust O are lone gone. And didn't he say Harris would see some PT last night. He didn't. Why not? He damn sure couldn't have done any worse. http://tigerfan.com/threads/hit-about-hit-the-fan-in-br.110887/page-28
Don't kid yourself. ALABAMA'S gonna be in that number, even though this is their "down" year. Observe the difference between Bama's program and the LSU program. Observe and learn.
