I shouldn't have to point this out that we can say, "7 in the box" all you want but the fact is the safeties basically ran to the line ASAP because we have no passing threat. That hesitation is key. LF7 was getting tackle by safeties at the LOS. I dont write articles, so... whatever It's why you need to be able to pass when you face a good front 7 that basically shuts your running game down. It literally should have been easy to throw in the middle of the field.
LF7 was hammered inside all day--and we failed to make the simple (and obvious) adjustment to pass, forcing the Gumps to respect us; instead, CLM (and it was CLM) tried the same plan over and over--expecting a different result. INSANITY!
It's hard to go all-n passing when the quarterback is hitting 31%. Still we had a balanced offense in that game.
It's hard to go all-in run when your running back is avg 1.5 yards per carry. We had an unbalanced attack.
Passing in obvious 3rd and forever low prob plays don't count. What was the balance on first and second down?
That is the issue........my insurance company back then USAA, only keeps records back to 2002. I moved in 1993. Texas keeps records on vehicles based on VIN number or old license plate number. I disposed of all of these cars 15-18 years ago, I don't keep records on cars for that long and I don't think many people do. The most important part LA. does not understand, almost every state in the country is cheaper on car insurance, Texas easily is............why would I not switch when I moved???
we weren't 70/30 in that game. look at the box score. 25 runs & 19 passes. Harris was sacked once (which is a called pass play that goes into rushing stats). so 24/20. off top of my head, there was at least one called Pass play where Harris ended up tucking it and running. so 23/21. that makes 52% run and 48% pass. that's pretty balanced in the number of plays calls. there was also at least 2 pass play that didn't count due to penalties (a pass interference on deep ball to Dupre, and the pass to Hawkins), but I won't count those because I don't know how many running plays were nullified.
probably meant for the year. when youre down 20 and cant get a yard per carry the objective is not to be balanced. thats a ridiculous argument to cite balance. has nothing to do with winning there.
