Do players choose schools just as a jumping point to the NFL or do they want to win championships? Or both?

We'll just have to agree to disagree on the talent issue. I'm in 100% agreement Bama has the superior coaching. As I posted in another thread if Les doesn't fire BDP and put a couple of others on notice after the season ends, Alleva needs to call Les in for a chat.

I agree that Bama probably has more talent but it is not by much. Look at how Bama looked until last night. Tennessee nearly beat them!!

They are deeper that's for sure and was evident. But there was probably just as many guys that will play on Sunday on LSU's roster than on Alabama's.

I think I'm done with Cam Cameron and I'm ready for LSU to start running a spread offense instead of a pro style one. This is only because of the lack of the staff trying to recruit a pro style quarterback. If we are going to keep bringing in qb's that are runners, we have to quit trying to mold them into something they are not. Spread the field, run from spread formations, it's not like any of the guys we have at QB now or are going to get will play on Sunday, so why not mold the offense that fits them best?

Les made them leave their Zigzags at home.

Bama has been producing far more first rounders but LSU still has more NFL players.

Again, look at how vulnerable Bama has looked most of the season. That tells me Bama prepared far better than LSU. LSU also lacked any ability to adjust.

Doesn't matter who the OC is if they don't have the autonomy to run the offense as they see fit. Gary Crowton had it and after 2008-09 when Les was nearly fired he pulled his head back into the shell he inherited from Bo and was content to play not to lose as long as he won enough games to keep his fat paycheck

You saw the part where I said adopt a spread style offense as well right. That would mean Les would have to hire a guy who runs the spread and let him have full control of the offense. Pipe dream though. We will continue to play for 2nd place every year. Sometimes we will get 2nd sometimes we won't.

Bama did not pull away from Arkansas until very late. They struggled to beat Tennessee. Plus lost to Ole Miss. Say what you want but they had not looked like this all world team until last night. There is no way you can't tell me it is all on the players, accountability has to come to Miles as well for lack of preparation or adjustments.
