One of the greatest resposibilities of a coach's job is to hold his players responsible for doing their jobs. And to teach them the tight way to do their jobs. Somewhere along the line Les is failing at this aspect while Saban is succeeding.
For red to admit you are right would mean he would have to admit he is wrong. He never admits it when he is wrong. You better watch out. He might call you an unflattering name.
Is it because Nick has better talent to work with? I think so. That and Nick has a more modern offensive philosophy whereas Les is stuck in an era long, long ago.
Saban gets the #1 recruiting class year after year but Miles recruits are always in the top ,5 or 10. There's not that much difference in the talent level. The difference is in the level of coaching
I beg to differ. We got dominated in all 3 phases. The Bama coaching staff contributed to the domination, but in my opinion their 11 just flat ass outplayed us in all 3 phases.
Coming into the game both teams showed a lot of vulnerability, as well as potential. Fact is Bama has a much better front 7, we knew that coming into the game. Other than that one area most other positions were close, with LSU holding an edge coming into the game. Fact is Saban and staff did a far better job of game planning and preparing their team than Miles and staff. So even if Bama has a lil more talent, the game played out that way in large part because of preparation, as well as the lack of in game adjustments by LSU.
Not entirely true, there were opportunities when we didn't run the ball. How many rushes did Fournette have? It seemed low.
I think we could have done better but every time we zigged, Bama zigged. We needed to zig when they zagged, alas no ziggy zaggy.
I agree 100% we were out prepared, out coached, and out executed. A significant part of that is the better coaching, but I still believe they have better athletes across the board.
I agree that Bama has a shitload of NFL talent, but so does LSU. Again, the biggest talent discrepancy is the Bama DL. Other than that LSU had better or equal talent elsewhere. That is one area of a huge talent gap. Quit conveniently combing over the fact that Bama never looked like world beaters until last night. It boils down to Bama making the most of the two weeks of preparation, while Miles sat on his ass. I'd bet anything that had Saban had two weeks with LSU and Miles two weeks with Bama he beats Miles. I know it sucks ass, but inside everyone knows that is the truth. LSU and Bama are pretty close in talent, the difference is coaching.
