Jefferson brings the hat, no doubt.

I am really hoping Adams becomes the next Eric Reid (I know they play different positions). I think he is on his way, maybe I am expecting too much from him.

I know its Dak, but its hard not to be disappointed on that 6 for 6 TD drive with the game on the line.

sure it is, but look at the scheme. Key and Godchaux ate good in State's backfield. We stop sending a fifth guy. THE LSU TIGERS went to a combo coverage zone. Let me say that again. DBU was in a combo zone with a guy playing man on the outside and the wrong guy at that. White is a great man cover guy, but not against 6'5 wide receivers. They should have put Adams over the top and sent Debo with pressure.
In the first half Dak looked like Jordan Jefferson, then he looked like Aaron Rodgers. Im sure you can figure out why.

    THE GOOD
Ethan Pocic and Leonard Fournette. SEC players of the week. Pocic with 16 (Sixteen) knockdown blocks and Leonard Fournette being Leonard Fournette.

I agree, but I also saw very little substitution on D. They were gassed late in the 4th. If you don't pressure a QB like Dak, he's going to pick you apart. I think with the new staff, young D and change in philosophy it may take a few games for the D to really come together. They're going to have to develop some depth quickly and start using it more, but I was very encouraged with what I saw. Miles allowing some sustained drives on offense would help them also.

maybe its a communication thing. when running a combo the inside and outside guy have to communicate. like in order to know how to jam and funnel the wr out of certain formations. new schemes may have hamstrung them in game 1. so i give them a pass.

but nothing will excuse us running out the damn clock midway thru the 2q. les miles needs to be shot at midfield if we see anything close to this again. i do think its hilarious how people try to rationalize it. theres nothing good about it. only at LSU is the forward pass considered a trick play.

we are the only team with top 5 talent to run a prevent offense. its a joke. its tired. and its fucking antiquated.

i was as well in the first half, but you are right on the substitutions, also State went to that hurry up, hurt the Defense as well.

Well, how do I say this without saying this? I suspect there is more than home cooking going on with some SEC officials. How can the officials spot a hold against LSU a mile away but can't spot the blatant illegal pick on the 2 point conversion attempt by by Miss. St.

lol at prevent offense. but essentially thats what it is.
you are definitely correct on the combo coverage. Dak is the best QB in the conference, but we really confused him the 1st half. I was just pissed at the coverage in the second half.

I told my girlfriend that Ive been here before with Miles, on the 2nd timeout on the field goal, she just looked at me, lost in the head of Les Miles. I had no answer for her.
