The band did a great job last night keeping everyone excited and into the game. I love our band and I really don't think they get enough credit. Its awesome if you go on Youtube and see the videos of our band, every comment is from people all over the US complimenting our band and talking about how awesome they are. Last night they played a several songs that I haven't heard them play before. One, in particular, had everyone in the stadium dancing and just freaking out......and apparently had a cheer to go along with it. Looked kinda like Neck, but with other stuff added. Can anyone tell me what that one and some of the other newer songs were that were played last night? Just curious. Thanks!
It was probably "All I Do Is Win" by DJ Khaled. The movements involve putting your hands up and down like neck.
I'm not sure who the "you" is that you're talking to. I know you aren't talking to me. I was there till the clock hit 0:00. Always am.
That drives me crazy. We didnt leave until the clock read 00:00. I agree about the band though! They did an amazing job last night and even if it was a blowout, I was still into the game til the end and will give them and the student section big credit for that. They were pumped and it was infectious
The band sounded really great because the stadium was so quiet. Even full in the first quarter. Like a tomb. All the frat boys left after halftime for homecoming parties. Many, many underdressed folks who came in shorts and T-shirts left in the 3rd quarter because the wind chill was about 45 degrees. Out-of towners left early in the 4th quarter when we went up by 6 scores. I suspect there might have been 20,000 left by the time Tiger Band played "Hey Baby".
Noticed the same thing watching on espn3. It looked like half the stadium was gone by the start of the 3rd qtr. That's pretty damn lame and pathetic. I only wish I were in a position to attend the home games so many of our "faithful" take for granted.
One of my favorite parts of LSU games is the band coming down the hill, band starting up the crowd in pregame, mid game tunes, and of course, closing out the halftime show. But, wow, the band is EXTREMELY boring at halftime ... "And now we jump back to the 1940's hit ... " "Here's another Earth, Wind, and Fire hit ... " "Led Zeppelin's best but most unknown song ..." I think my favorite Tigerband halftime show was back in 2001 (i believe). This was when the band busted a move looking like Southern. Anyway, i love the Tigerband, but really hate their halftime shows.
