I have a lot of respect for those who don't have to stay in the security of the crowd and can stand alone on issues. May not always agree with their position but always respect their character. TO is a thug though. :hihi:
there are a lot of people who hear something, think it sounds good, then claim it as their own opinion... ESPECIALLY in pro sports. That's how come people who haven't seen the Jaguars play all season all claim at the same time that they are the sleepers to make it to the Superbowl. Or how everyone thinks Kansas is "garbage" without having seen them play a single game all season. I am not a follower. What I say may be "off the wall", and it may be "different", and it may be "widely disagreed upon", but I'd rather be me than be what someone on ESPN tells me to be.
well I am still a fan... and I know how that works... I think the Cowboys will win the Superbowl in the preseason every year no matter what the roster looks like. That's just how it is... But that is a good example now that you mention it.
Intersting that John Adams, who once was a sports writher for The Advocate, was dispised by LSU fans, including me, now writes for the Knoxville Journal. He is dispised by University of Tennessee fans just as strongly as LSU fans dispise Guilbeaux. Like Guilbeaux, Adams has been voted the top sports writer in Tennessee.
You are mistaken. He had us at 6 or 7 one week when everyone else had us at 1 or 2. He blasted CLM over his comments about USC having an easier road to the NC. In the same article he said the SEC wasn't that strong and LSU should play stronger OOC teams the same year we play VT. I blasted him over this article and afterwards I stopped reading his dumb chit unless it was in the paper. Even the regular LSU fans up here can't stand him. Every article I have read of his he has some negative comment about LSU or CLM some where in it.
He did the same thing towards other teams when he worked in Alabama. He may not like LSU but that is not why he writes the articles, it is just his style. If he moved to Nashville he would have something against Vandy. Poor, poor Vandy.
We always need at least one sportswriter who isn't kissing the asses of the coaches. It keeps everybody honest. If Guilbeau didn't exist, we'd have to invent him.
