I've heard him on Jimmy Ott's (another Miles hater) show every week during football season. JMO, but he comes across as incredibly obnoxious.
he might be. I dont' know him personally. But to say he never includes anything pro-LSU in his writing is absurd. hell, he voted LSU either No. 1 or 2 in the AP poll every week of the season, if i'm not mistaken.
Don't know him. Don't wanna know him. My only experience with him is as an LSU beat writer and wannabe columnist and in that realm, he's a flaming sphincter.
he comes on finebaum quite a bit and you can tell he gets real excited telling paul he is being compared to him...which he is obviously trying to do. he doesnt understand it is pretty damn hard to do when you dont have two level schools in your state. paul can upset one fanbase and then take a break and go to another (not to mention he actually is a smart guy and has many contacts and does compliment the teams) -- glenn's antics can only allow him to bounce around so long before he has to get a real job.
He said LSU was so talented that even Miles couldn't mess them up. I guess that's the most compimentary thing I've heard him say, and I read most of his articles (I know, I know) and heard him about every week on the radio.
Clair is right on his writing. He says good things about LSU all the time but his opinions are negative more times than not but he doesn't just make up facts. I do not know about his AP rankings and what not but I do know he ranked LSU behind 2 SEC teams at least twice. Nothing wrong with that at the times he did so. Anyway, I think he is an ass as most of us do but just based on his rationalizing on many subjects involving LSU. He pisses me off even more when I see him on Lee Finswog TV show. You can definetely tell the other LA sports writers get annoyed by him and I have seen him lose his fair share of battles where it sounds if he has an agenda on certain topics.
unfortunately, the people who know what they're talking about think so, or he wouldn't have gotten the honor. :grin::lol:
