Looks like he's making a good impression: Veteran safety Mike Brown is a fan of the way rookie Craig Steltz has conducted himself thus far. Steltz, a fourth-round draft pick from LSU, has fit in quickly by learning his role both on the field and off. "I think they're grooming him to be the next starting safety for the Chicago Bears," Brown said. "He picked up the defense really quickly." How about off the field? "The smartest thing for rookies to do is don't say anything," Brown said. "The first way you're going to earn your respect from your teammates is if you're a good player. Once you show that you're a good player, you fit in." http://www.nwherald.com/bears/story.php?id=507
Hate to bring race into it... but I love to see a big mean white boy at safety... i guess I like seeing players in a role that isn't traditional for them... like black qbs, white runningbacks and DBs, Chinese kickers
