Most of Alaska is currently -40°F or colder (~30° below normal).

Did you have a point to make?

    So what?

There is an important difference between weather and climate.

There is always a popular article making a lot of claims. This one seem to take a lot of liberty with a paper from The Met Office that it does not cite or link to. I'd like to read what the scientists actually stated, not what is characterized in a popular article or a blog. Got a link to the scientific article that says to forget global warming?

The second half of the article noted that there was early scientific objections to this conclusion. Let us see what when the next few months bring when the true dissent comes in.

Why not also consider these articles:

New USDA plant zones clearly show climate change - Capital Weather Gang - The Washington Post

New plant map shifts area to warmer zone - The Washington Post

That's a strange response from you. Red. I thought it was obvious that that was exactly the point I was making.

Not to be repetitive, but your comment pointed to unusual weather, as did mine. Neither climate-related, but FYI, both are definitively related to unusual orientation of polar jet stream this winter season.

Your point is not obvious. In a thread about global warming, you make a comment about cold weather in one place at one time.

It was obvious to me. SouthrnTiger responded to the OP refuting GW and said Alexandria was hot. He said AK was cold and asked her, if she had a point. He should have quoted her I suppose.
