Well, I hate to do it...but I DID read the whole article...and for the most part...GG is spot on. He could write it with a little less edge...but the facts are there to support what he wrote. - All he's saying is that LSU will still have problems at QB this season...that it is a potential trouble spot. He states in the article that the defense will be improved...which will help the QB. He states that JJ is better than where Lee was last year...and even states that Lee should be improved...if needed. He is saying we should not pin our hopes on the QB position...and he's right. He states that LSU will probably win 9-10 games this year...and he's right. - Also, he didn't need to go bashing Cubs fans...:angryfire...and he didn't need to throw Josh Booty in the same sentence with Flynn and Jamarcus. He's still an idiot.
I dont see a problem with LSU fans hoping that the quarterback play will be better because of " the quarterback" not the defense. JJ has the talent to be a really good QB, I'll give him that chance before I say we will have major problems at QB.
I don't understand why a man is a bad writer because he doesn't give LSU 100% love 100% of the time? His job when he's a columnist is to give his opinion. If his opinion is what he wrote, then feel free to disagree, but save the bashing and saying the man's not good at what he does. I think Guilbeau was fairly accurate. Fans expect 9-3 or 10-2 this year and have unanswered questions about our quarterback and defense situation.
i dont think he ever said or insinuated that. just that a guy with 2 games under his belt is a big question mark which i completely agree. 2 games is 2 games. realistically, it will be hard-pressed for jj to match last year's success (td:int, passer rating, win%(hopefully ties this). certainly he will be quicker to adjust than JLee once the walls cave in at times, on the sec road. plus hes already shown to have some moxie which leads me to believe hes got a chance to be pretty good. once he starts facing serious adversity is when we will learn a lot more about him. you arent that naive. he has a history of bashing LSU and miles while sucking off saban once he departed. the only time he retracted was after Miles won the crystal ball. yet still with backhanded compliments giving credit to lil napolean. doesnt change his M.O. hes a shiit-stirrer and creates controversy by posting this tripe. to pretend he's just speaking his opinion is disingenuous. very similar to your anti-saints, hornets spin. readers start to recognize the source after awhile which discredits the message no matter how true.
