Guess he didn't need the money after college

    Glen Coffee retires | ProFootballTalk.com
The team will be able to recover the balance of his $828,000 signing bonus on a four-year deal.

    It works out to $621,000.

Last memory of Coffee at 49ers practice yesterday morn. He got pancaked by Mike Balogun on blitz, and RB coach Tom Rathman was not pleased. about 7 hours ago via Twitter for BlackBerry® Retweeted by 3 people

Having covered 49ers RB Glen Coffee for 3 years, not surprised he retired. He has a higher call. Wouldn't shock me if he headed to ministry about 6 hours ago via TweetDeck

What a terrible break for the 4th-and-niners.

If Eddie D was still around he could throw out a buttload of money to coerce him to stay.

I heard he was going to work for Starbucks. Bad joke, but somebody had to do it.

    A tweet from this morning:

"so who in the office pool had Glen Coffee retiring before Brett Favre?"

    pretty funny.

I’m thinking the semi-pro thing is just something to keep him busy. He prolly runs 150+ every game.
