    well more specifically, the new citizen is contributing to society, with cheap labor and enriching the culture. we need people.

    she is not a financial liablity, but a huge asset. also we should increase these quotas by many times. the ide that we cannot sustain whatever number of immigrants is crazy.

    Nonsense. The problem is that we have no control over our immigration if we just let them come as they please. If we cannot control immigration then any argument about what quota's are sustainable is moot.

    the government has done something similar in the past with its own citizens. a little program back during the depression called the wpa.

    and if they were going to do it again, i would bet good money there are plenty of american citizens they could get to fill those jobs.
