We have proper immigration channels to attract the people you described. The numbers of those that we can accept is constrained by the number of illegals.

There are enough legal citizens that I am non too happy that my tax dollars are supporting. When it comes to illegals, until we start treating them like illegals, we will have a problem. Committing a crime should result in a different type of education.

So in addition to everything else that's outsourced now days, we should outsource our citizens too?

I disagree. What we need is people that are intelligent like her, that will respect and obey the immigration laws and a government that will enforce said laws.

I do agree here. The country has not exactly produced its brightest generation in the last few decades.

How about when it was discovered the family was here illegally that they were immediately deported? Then she could have stayed with her parents. Seems the fact that she wasn't here legally could have been determined when she was in a public school.

Was it her fault that she was here at a young age? No. Should that mean just because someone showed up in the US by whatever method I owe them an education, health care, and subsistence? No.

Why even have the laws in place if nobody thinks they're subject to them?

It's quite simple really. Her parents made the decision to come here illegally with her. They decided it was too much trouble to take the steps necessary to be here legally. They decided it was better to criminally enter this country with their kid and exploit the services offered to legal citizens. And they did so knowing full well what could happen as a result of their actions. What are they bitching about??

They sure didn't have any problem figuring out a way to get her in school or start their own business, did they?

I'd like a new house, but the paper work is too much trouble. I think I'll just go claim squatter's rights in a nice neighborhood somewhere and see how that works out... :dis:

That, and the fact that nobody thinks their sh!t stinks anymore. Or that anytime they have a problem, it will magically be taken care of by the problem fairy. Nobody has any sense of accountability anymore, but that's a different thread.

true enough. immigrants should be allowed in at such high rates that it isnt necessary to be illegal.

bad analogy, citizenship isnt like a house, it is not a physical item. you can just be granted citizenship for no cost and it hurts no one. you arent taking anything from anyone.

I would not object to fast-tracking her for a green card since she no doubt can get a proper sponsor and does not appear to be a financial liability on the country. But she must do it legally and fit into the quotas that we have established.
