There are lots of places where there’s great baseball played and there’s great support and they get behind their teams. But there is nothing like this. We all know it because we were fortunate to have grown up with it, but it always makes me feel good when an opponent is able to recognize and admit it too.

Think of what it must be like to be an athlete at most any other program, and get to the Box to see that support. I imagine there is not a single kid that played in the Box the last 20+ years that will ever forget it.

I think lsusports.net has a similar picture for sale, but I got his one from ESPN.

While watching the LSU/USM series the announcer said something about a game with UCLA a few years ago. Said UCLA played in front of more fans in that series than what had watched them play for their entire home season. That is both impressive and pitiful all at the same time.
