Some things just seem to be so obvious: Alabama will display BCS championship trophy at Walmart - ESPN Walmarts to host Bama's BCS trophy Comment Email Print Share Associated Press TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- The University of Alabama is going to display its new national championship football trophy at a place where most anyone can see it: Walmart. The school says the Coaches' Trophy will be on display at a Walmart Supercenter in Tuscaloosa on Saturday and another Walmart store in Gardendale on Sunday. Fans will be able to get their picture taken with the actual Coaches' Trophy that was presented after the BCS win over Texas. The $30,000 trophy is topped with a football made of Waterford Crystal. The school will permanently display the trophy on campus. The Walmart stops are part of a sponsorship deal.
This way their true fan base, people of WalMart, will be able to pay respect to 'Bama's 197th national championship.
Guys we might not want to cast stones here. I remember we had several wal-mart showings for our in 2007. I remember it was at the Wal-Mart in Prarieville.
Wal-Mart to display Bama's BCS Trophy Seems Fitting :dis: Alabama will display BCS championship trophy at Walmart - ESPN
Re: Wal-Mart to display Bama's BCS Trophy That's pretty sad but hey, they have to show it to their fan base, right?
Re: Wal-Mart to display Bama's BCS Trophy Hey Big John exactly how many Waffle houses are in Alabama? Could we get some Stats up on that please?
Re: Wal-Mart to display Bama's BCS Trophy Awww, is the Bama fan sad? I thought you said you were happy because of your team's performance this year... the thrill has already wore off? Or did you get married in a Waffle House or are you working at at a Waffle House or something? If so, watch the movie Tin Cup, it paints Waffle Houses in a favorable light and it was a good movie.
Re: Wal-Mart to display Bama's BCS Trophy Waffle House is awesome and anybody that says it isn't is a loser. As much as I despise the Tide nobody can dispute that they deserve the trophy this year. They earned it on the field by beating all challengers. I personally don't go to Wal Mart where I live because it's a cesspool with a very elite level of human refuse that frequents it. Not saying everyone who shops there is trash, but it attracts the worst in my community. Plus they have wilted produce and sub par meats. If it will let the most fans see their trophy it's a good idea.
