In response. 1. All conferences are not created equal. Bama would win every other conference without question. 2. Losing to an unranked team is unacceptable. 3. Who cares what non sec viewers want? Defense wins championships and we've got loads of it. I'm happy we are playing bama. We would have annihilated osu. Beating bama 2x in one year - what could be better?
Let Bama come, we roll them by 2 TDs. Our offense played awful while Bama's was plain stopped and we still beat them. Next game Bama won't be so lucky. Les with a month to prepare doesn't lose.
1. They didn't win their own division. Also, I don't think the SEC is the best conference in a top-to-bottom sense. It has the two best teams in the country; the rest were pretty mediocre. For some reason the computers say the Big 12 is the best conference. 2. Perhaps, but they lost by 6 in double overtime the same week some of their coaches were killed. And in 2007 we lost in 3OT to a Kentucky team that finished the season unranked (I think they were ranked #18 at the actual game?). We still went to NO. 3. ESPN ought to care. I was thinking in financial terms. It's in ESPN's best interest to provide the most entertaining game possible, and neutrals are going to be bored by another defensive slugfest. I thought they would take that into account. What could be better? Beating the champions of the Big 12, Pac 12, Big East, and the second best team in the country (and the 'moral winner' of all games), Bama, in one season. We beat Bama a second time. What does it prove? That we didn't already know?
No justification. No arguments over who, or why, or what, or if, or how many, or fair. All this fear stops. We know our opponent. We roll them. Period. Doesn't matter if it's Saint Nick, the twelve Apostles, or Jesus.
Meh, it's all relative to me. I am genuinely curious to hear what they'd say, though it doesn't matter a bit.
Cmon Tusk, you can do better than than that. LSU's argument goes like this: 13-0 and 9-6. Pretty simple
