Why do you think LSU had something to do with that billboard? It obviously stung to see it so close to the USC campus, but LSU had zero to do with it.

LSU doesn't "share" the 2003 BCS Nation Championship with anyone! The only trophy that counts is the crystal, we have it, USC doesn't. Why do you think USC lost to a 26 point underdog this year and never had a lead in the game ? You have to beat the best to even have a claim that you are the best. Dream on !

Think back to last year...didn't you notice that you received an extra trophy when you won the NC? You received the AP last year with the crystal, isn't it nice that they didn't break up the set like in 2003? USC was #1 in the AP and Coaches Poll in 2003, the coaches were contractually obligated to vote for the winner of the BCS game...FORCED...yet still 3 coaches protested. The AP had no obligation, they voted for USC who they considered the true champion.

Yes, we've lost to teams we shouldn't have...but we have never lost by more than 7 points to anyone since 2001 (11 points to ND). We've been ranked in the top 4 and played in 6 (won 5, the one loss by 3 points in a NC game) BCS games the past 6 years. Not bad.

Maybe since we lost to a 26 point underdog this year, Les will whine and beg the bowl committee to match us up...that would be an easy win for LSU, right?

Come and visit wearesc.com, no on gets banned over there..unless you're a fellow Trojan who spews anti-southern remarks, then we band together to get the offending member banned for life. You figure.

Nobody here brags about the AP trophy in our case. And most wouldn't recognize it if it fell on them. We leave that for trojans.

You call it forced. Most everyone else would call it fulfilling a contract. All the coaches agreed to the rules before the season, but some decided to ignore them. How fortunate for you.

This is the saddest proclamation of all. You guys recruit more 5 stars in one year than most schools get in five, and yet you have only made it to two NCG, and are 1-1. How can you ever lose with all that talent and the greatest coach alive? Every other year, with all that talent, the press anoints you the "greatest team of all time"(yet again), you fall flat on your face, and still easily win your conference and go to the worthless Rose bowl to face a pathetic Big 10 opponent. Could there be two weaker conferences with BCS bowl ties? Rose bowl victories are ceasing to impress anyone because your conference is so damn weak. No team can mount any serious threat to you for longer than 1-2 years before they fade into mediocrity.

Firstly, we don't lose to teams that are 26 point underdogs, and certainly not to 40+ underdogs. We leave that to your team. You manage it every year like clockwork. And as to whining, the only coach doing that now is yours, 'cause he is going to be left out again. OSU is being punished for being overrated too many years in a row. It's about time you guys were forced to earn it instead of being handed to you constantly. God knows the media tried at the beginning of the year, but you had to screw it up, again.

Just wait until next year, when you will be anointed again as the "greatest team of all time." Perhaps one day you can live up to it.

No I didn't. We count crystal at LSU not some lame trophy given out by the media. I guess if thats all we received last year I might have noticed it. As The Dude pointed out, with all that "talent", the conference USC plays in and that awesome coach you have, how can USC lose a single game ? To quote me regarding said coach:

"Very overrated as a coach in my opinion. Lets look at what he has had to work with and what he's produced. What coach wouldn't want these recruits?

    2008 2 *****, 13 ****
    2007 6 *****, 10 ****
    2006 4 *****, 14 ****
    2005 3 *****, 9 ****
    2004 8 *****, 6 ****

Thats 23 five star and and 52 star four star recruits over the last five years. This is the nucleus of his team. A team with that kind of talent doesn't: (1) 2008 (thus far) lose to an unranked 25 point dog; (2) 2007 lose to Stanford at home and Oregon; and (3) 2006 lose to Oregon State and UCLA. The media gives this guy waaay too much credit and praise. With the recruits USC has they should march through the Pac 10 every year without even breaking a sweat. Trouble is the coach buys into all of the hype and fails to keep his team grounded and focused to play teams that don't have nearly the talent that they have. However, many in the medial ignore the obvious shortcomings of this coach ( does a defensivie genius' team give up 27 points to Oregon State? )and continue to prop him and his team up at the beginning of every season.

CONCLUSION: Pete Carroll is a great recruiter but only a mediocre coach."
