    A few point to consider...

-Nowhere in those comments did I detect a note of "whining". He simply stated the truth about the relative conference strength.

-It doesn't surprise me that your team plays gangsters. I hope their degrees and the media cover-ups about their behavior don't cost your athletic foundation too much money. And I'll go ahead and beat you to your argument that people out there in Hollywood are so much better than us, so money just flows from the alumni association. After all, we're just a bunch of poor swamp-dwellers. :rolleye33:

-You're obviously pretty tech-savvy, having found all those useless stats about USC's history. I trust you can put that same savvy to good use by finding the door...so to speak.

    Tell Petey we said hi.

I have no problems with Pete whining about the BCS.
Seems like everyone in the country (except me) wants to ruin the greatest regular season in American sports by adding a playoff to college football.

I do have a complaint with his timing.
NOW he wants to b!tch. Now that it's his team that getting "shafted" (just like he did in '03).

Where was his complaints in '00 when Miami got left out for a team they beat (and had the same record)?
Where was he in '01 when a Nebraska team that didn't even win their DIVISION got into the MNC game over Oregon?
Never heard him say sh!t about what happened to Auburn in '04 either.

He's just like Mark Richt. Complain when it's you getting screwed, but don't stand up for anyone else.

Les Miles complaints came before the season even started.
Urban Meyer griped when his team was IN the BCS CG.

You want to sound credible, stand up and say something when it's not about you.

This is so typical of the Spoiled Children syndrome that is USC. I see it daily here in So Cal. Whine, whine, whine. It's the whole "We are better than you" attitude that prevails on that campus and carries on to their coach.

    Really? 11?

Well, minus one for the 2003 National Championship because that simply does not count no matter how you slice the cake.

Have a rebuttal for that? Answer me this: Do you have a crystal ball marking the date you won the National Championship game on January 7th, 2003? Didn't think so.

As for the other "10" - how many of those supposed National Championships were culminated from NCAA Division I FBS National Football Championship titles? Because under that logic, LSU has 7 National Championships.

Here, I found it for you:

"USC now recognizes its football teams of 1928, 1931, 1932, 1939, 1962, 1967, 1972, 1974, 1978 and 2003 as national champions. There were five other years (1929, 1933, 1976, 1979 and 2002) in which the Trojans finished atop at least one poll, but USC does not consider the selectors in those years as being all-encompassing enough at the time to claim a national championship.

The NCAA does not conduct a national championship in Division I football and is not involved in the selection process. Over the years, there have been nearly 30 selectors of national champions using polls, historical research and mathematical rating systems. It is up to individual schools to determine whether a No. 1 selection in any of these systems merits a national championship claim."

Hey, guys, LSU has seven national championships! Skrew this feeling that we only have 3. I mean, if we can just "claim" to have them then it must be valid, right? Oh wait, I forgot the fact that we aren't pretentious enough and have more dignity than to claim, retroactively, that we won.

Pete Carroll complained about the system even when we gained by it:

Rather you or anyone else likes it, the trophy is in our case for the shared NC in 2003, just as there is the AP Trophy in the case in Bama for the shared 1978 NC, even though we beat them in Alabama for our matchup that year. Act like you've been there for heaven's sake. We didn't whine about it, yet you did and continue to do...you put up billboards just after the greatest natural disaster in the history of the US occurred....in your state! By the way, after the billboard went up across the street from the USC campus, the student's at USC responded by raising $10,000 amonst themselves to donate to the Katrina Fund. Yeah, the University of Spoiled Children BS....

http://www.usc.edu/uscnews/stories/4769.html USC is one of the top philanthropic universities in the country, over 50% of the student body volunteer in the surrounding community through extensive community services....but you put up billboards. Please post how many of your students volunteer in their community, and how your university has made their community better.

By the way, why doesn't the state of Louisiana give back Reggie's money if it is tainted - you know, a cheater...isn't that the Christian thing to do? Never mind that USC has produced some of the finest players in the League like Troy Polamalu, Anthony Munoz and Bruce Matthews just to name a few who are devoutly Christian and donate enormous amounts of time and money to charity? Willie McGinest? All those former players are true and loyal Trojans first. Hate on!

A whole 10,000 dollars... wow. That's about as much as you all were giving Reggie Bush per... week for rent, family mortgage, work vehicle, slush fund?

Or wait, no... that's the monthly trust fund payout for those less fortunate students who have to live "on campus"...

Is it a Waterford? Didn't think so...and did we bring up Alabama or a shared trophy? I wouldn't agree with it if anyone shared an NC. Wouldn't it make more sense for you, as a USC fan, to deny a "shared" NC since Alabama did the same thing to you? I distinctly remember Nick $atan saying for USC to schedule a neutral field game where we could find out who would truly be the champion and USC declining.

Guess you missed the HBO special of how the LSU football team put all their efforts into helping the people of New Orleans or the story of how JaMarcus Russell had about 10+ people in his college apartment.

By the way, do a little research before you start spurting out opinions:

The site responsible for the billboard: http://www.onepeat.com/

Read the timeline - 2/23/06 - THE LOS ANGELES BOARD HAS POSTED!! IT IS ABOUT 1500 FEET FROM THE USC CAMPUS

Hurricane Katrina was over with on August 30, 2005...so, you are chastising a fanbase that had some fun with a rival team that year over an issue that was a half a year earlier? Just to clue you in, as well, the same website posted this little tid-bit:

3/3/06 - WE HAVE SENT $2,625 TO THE LOUISIANA DISASTER RECOVERY FOUNDATION.

I don't know about USC but LSU football got many of the Louisiana residents through the toughest time in the states history. It united a massive amount of people and made us proud of the state and it's signature university. But, I wouldn't expect anyone from Southern California to know anything about a connection to a football team...I wouldn't claim USC either.

Last I checked this was a football forum and a football thread, when did christianity and the "tainting" of money come in to this?
