On a positive note, we had three accepted penalties called against us last night for 35 yards. :thumb:
Remember the last time we had a new DC and we went out to the west coast and won our 1st game despite giving up a ton of yards to a PAC 10 team that wasn't very good and the Forum nearly melted down because this new DC ruined our defense and we were going to suck forever? I seem to recall 2 :crystal: after that. Relax people.
I think the game was a great way to highlight were we need to concentrate. I'd rather a win with these things pointed out than- - key injuries (OU) - a blowout win against a team where we learn nothing (USC) - a loss (UGA) :geauxtige -
My God, some of you people are easy to get all up in a panic. Breathe! Yes we looked sloppy last night, but last I checked, it was a win. But to sit here and say after one fricking game that these kids shouldn't have even come here and should have went somewhere else they "have a chance" is just plain stupid and immature. Get over it, we're 1-0!
Bama plays good defense. They didn't strike fear into my heart or anything, though. Heck, we should've beaten them last year with our really crappy '08 squad. Oklahoma State played well. They looked much better than Va Tech, for sure. I still feel like we (the coaches, the players, the FANS) underestimated UW. I'm curious to see how their season turns out.
A chance for what? To play for a top-tier football school? Seriously, how can you call yourself a fan after making a comment like this? Ridiculous, man. . .get a hold of yourself.
Yea, the game announcers must have attributed LSU's play as being due to the 2,400 mile commute around 10 times. After the first time, I attributed it to the defense being on the field all night.:hihi:.
That's because the offense was going anywhere. But I have to give it to the athleticism of the defense;; weren't they supposed to be running on fumes the last quarter after being on the field so long? They still kept on going and didn't melt down.:thumb:
The Advocate: “We had seen film all summer watching Washington and USC do the corner blitz, the same that USC does,” Toliver said. “We knew they were going to do it all night. We knew they were coming, and we were prepared for it.”
