The LSU secondary will once again be exposed to the best QB in the SEC (yes, a G8R fan just said that). AJ Green and MoMass are very good recievers, the latter having great hands. Moreno will also keep the defense aware of the run. I say UGA 34, LSU 27 LSU could take this game however. The UGA lines aren't that physical and the Tigers should dominate both. Stafford's play is of the upmost importance. He is normally pretty composed in the pocket--will their OL give him enough time? I'll have my butt planted in the recliner at 3:30 Saturday! Should be an outstanding game. Please prove my prediction wrong!!!!
Huh? There aren't many real good QBs in the SEC this year (very few), but Stafford isn't better that Tebow. To me, not even close. If you add up all of Tebow's INTs since his freshman year, he still has like five less than Stafford had in his freshman year alone. Tebow's got him in every category. I think the biggest difference is that Stafford will throw the ball into the biggest crowd ever when he is truly pressured. Tebow's much more careful. Stafford's probably the second best QB and he is talented. Lee's actually in the top half of starting QBs in the league. It's not a good year for QBs in the SEC.
UGA - 27 LSU - 17 Unfortunately, I don't think we get this game. I'm going to be honest with myself and am not just going to say LSU will win because I'm a fan. Defense - They really didn't show any improvement in the secondary for the USC game. Safties are of little help to the db's and the DL isn't getting consistent pressure on the QB. The USC game was much better for the DL. If the DL can get pressure on Staff they have a good chance of getting him because he doesn't have great get away speed and nimbleness that a Tebow has. I think LSU will have to try and stop the run, which puts more pressure on the secondary. If they don't get to Stafford quickly, the secondary will get exposed again. Offense - Lee will have an INT, but I think LSU runs the ball a little better this week to take some pressure off him. They need to run the ball more than pass, and get the quick timing patterns going, then throw the long ball and maybe get some big plays. I think the focus will be running and wearing them down. Hopefully LSU is successful in the run and can keep their D on the field for long periods, which means less time for our secondary to get picked apart. I think the staff knows the D is our weakest link and addressed some issues, but it seems more like coverage fundamentals to me that seem to plague the secondary. I haven't gone back and watched any games a second time to really focus on the secondary, but that is just my impression.
We put pressure on Stafford and repeatedly force him out of the pocket ; LSU 20 GA 17 We cant get to Stafford and he is able to make all his reads; LSU 20 GA 30
