i wouldnt be so sure. LSU is a team is disarray. No proven qb and a confused defense with no new coordinator. stopping the option is predicated on a confident and disciplined defense. a motivated, paul johnson team that has gotten better while LSU regressed is not a likely situation to sway money to the visiting side. line opened -2' bet to -3'. total at 49.
I know I'm dating myself, but I saw Darrell Royal run the original wishbone formation with a great deal of success in the '60s. And OU and Nebraska with great success in the '80s and '90s. And you're correct, when you've got the skilled athletes to run it properly it's a damn difficult formation to prepare for and stop on the field.
I agree I think the line will go up, especially with Georgia Tech's last outing was an impressive performance against a team that beat LSU by double digits. What a good hire by Radakovich of Paul Johnson. It took a lot of guts to hire Johnson at a BCS school. Johnson certainly did not let him down either.
Im always tainted by LSU lines which is why I only bet LSU on my weekly pick'em league. Still, we out man them fuggers at every position on the field except QB. Ya they run a good option but we have more athletes. I like LSU & over the 49. :thumb:
 so did every other team they faced this season, look how that turned out. They have 70 scholarship athletes on that roster, I think they realize that they are out manned every weekend but that doesn't seem to slow them down. This isn't Paul Johnson's first rodeo.
I'll take the Tigers. All of the players who packed it in early to avoid injury or who were pissed at Miles because he kicked their delinquent friends off of the team and dared to instill actual discipline will need to impress NFL scouts. The quicker these prima donnas are off of the team, the quicker LSU will surge back to the top. It kills me that so many of you are focused on getting rid of coaches (including Miles because he is not named Saban) instead of placing the majority of the blame squarely where it belongs: the players that are actually supposed to make the plays to win. Hey, let's get rid of Miles and bring someone in who will make LSU's program compete like this: http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/victoryandruins/
You mean their big 10-7 victory over that power house team loaded with athletes like Gardner-Webb? Or is it their 28-7 loss to North Carolina that impresses you? Maybe it was their QB's 1-6 passing performance against Georgia that makes you a believer. Tigers romp.
How exactly did Georgia do against LSU this year? Roll over on GT if you'd like. But this not going to be an easy game. GT is easily better than Ole Miss and Arkansas and definitely better than Georgia. So pardon me if I see this as one of the toughest games that LSU will play this season. btw, you do realize that LSU is a 30 point 4th quarter from losing it's last 4 games and 5 of its last 6.
