No worries. I wish there was more parity in this sport but unfortunately it’s Alabama, Clemson and everybody else.
Did Georgia make the playoffs twice? I thought it was only once. The year that Auburn beat Bama and kept Bama out of the SECCG allowing Georgia to win the SEC for the 1st time since 2005. If Georgia played in the West I feel like those numbers would be a bit different. When is the last time Georgia beat Alabama? Yes, LSU’s marquee win last year was Georgia. What was Georgia’s marquee win last year? And if any fan base knows recruiting at a high level doesn’t equate to wins on the field, well..... Please know I’m not trying to turn this into a Georgia vs LSU comparison. I just don’t believe we can put Georgia in the conversation with Alabama and Clemson, yet.
Mostly agree. I think the reason UGA has gotten so much consideration is that they had Bama beat until they put Tua in for his first college action ever, and he led them to victory late in the 4th. That game has had lasting impact for Gawja.
Agreed. But close doesn’t count. The final score is all that really matters. Georgia is a good football program. Yes, their last 3 shots at Bama were great games that they had great chances at winning (2012, 2017, 2018) but they ultimately lost all 3. Let’s see how it unfolds this year.
Georgia has zero chance to beat Alabama. Georgia is not an elite program, esp after squeaking out a win over Notre Dame ... LSU will play GA in the SECCG and beat the hell out of them scoring another 36-16 win but this time closer to 50 points ...
