I don't care that he said it... I care about the double-standard that is involved. RJF got damn-near crucified last year by the media for saying what he said. There will be no mention of this quote, which is almost the EXACT same phrasing, because it is not the Almighty Tebow.
i don't know about all that talking trash bit, but LSU's facilities are amazing. i don't know why i never really cared to see what they were like or what they offered, but that is pretty impressive. almost to the point of excess. what player in the country wouldn't jump at the opportunity to get in on all of that? that is better than most of them have seen, or will EVER see in their lifetimes. i'm slightly jealous.
There is also a rumor going around that during Richt's weekly talk show someone asked him "What is the most surprising thing about LSU this year?" And his response was: "That they're undefeated."
Others are saying the question actually was "What's the scariest thing about LSU", and Richt's answer was just typical coachspeak about us. Richt's a crybaby, but I don't think he's stupid enough to say something like that. That's Kiffinesque.
that's actually pretty funny. anyone else think it's ridiculous how people are completely bad-mouthing LSU ad nauseam. it seems to be the hot topic of the season. yeah, LSU could DEFINITELY be playing better, but WHAT team in the country other than Alabama has looked consistent all season long? florida? no way, not against the vols. LSU hasn't lost a game yet, beat a team on the road that beat USC, yet they are the ones getting bad-mouthed. hopefully the players take heed and shut these people up. of course LSU hasn't gotten the pieces together yet, but i really don't think they're playing that badly. not up to their potential, but not bad. not when they really haven't been tested yet. they'll (hopefully not) lose this weekend and probably drop out of the top ten. do you guys think that that would be warranted?
Normally, I'd say it depends on how well LSU plays in the loss. But I get a bad feeling that voters are just itching for an excuse to send LSU way down the ladder if they lose that game. Honestly, for a team that's very young in crucial positions, it might not be a bad thing having the weight of Top 10 expectations off your back going forward. Exactly my thoughts on the situation. This won't even merit so much as a mention on GameDay.
