I watched Mathews earlier and he had all these poll numbers up already conceeding what may happen tonight. The poll numbers were telling. Overall Obama still has a good approval rating and high likability rating but on the issues, everything was low 40's. Mathews tried his best but he couldnt spin it no matter what. This is a repudiation of Washington and Democratic issues. Not so much Obama the man, but clearly his ideas and policies. I made a statement in another thread about Independents moving away from Obama by the millions. All the polling has been showing it for months and this election hammers the point home. Massachusetts is a state that has a 3-1 democratic advantage in registered voters BUT, more registered independents then both parties combinded. Independents are running and even some dems are bailing on the Obama/Pelosi/Reid agenda. THANK GOD!
Virginia wasn't a huge deal going back to a Republican but New Jersey?...Massachusetts? Wow!...if that doesn't send a message. I believe some Democrats will come to their senses but Pelosi, Reid, Obama are too arrogant to concede even at the expense of their party OR this nation. 52-47 Brown (84% reporting)
I agree. Even a close loss by Brown would have been a repudiation but winning after being down by over 30 points is unbelievable. Never mind this is a complete and total blue state and combined with being a Kennedy seat is shocking.
this is true. i may get slammed but i think that pelosi and reid took the health care issue and made it worse. in other words, i dont think the entiretly of it is obama's fault, but he is banking his presidency on it so that makes him responsible. if it werent for them, i might be hopeful that the blue dogs could have a bit of say in things, but those are the two that particularly irk me.
With most votes in Brown leads by 109K votes. WOW!!! In a state like Massachusetts...that's like being taken behind the woodshed. An Obama endorsement spells failure again.
