Anybody watching the Cubs these days?
Mike Fontenot is 5 for 5 tonite.
Ryan Theriot is 2 for 2.

Funny watching these guys play together even though they are beating the
    Rockies!
Its also been great watching Brad Hawpe.

It is awesome having these former Tigers having such good years. Last week, Aaron Hill was all over 1st Take, with his homer, then a web gem in the same game. Hawpe has turned out to be a pretty good free agent pick-up for me, and he was recently a part of an ESPN article about great outfield arms.

Single RBI by Brad Hawpe and a hr by Tulo can you say the Rockies came back and are winning the game in the 9th after being down 8-3?
    9-8 Rocks!
I'm going to have to record this game on replay tomorrow!
    Wow

hawpe has been a late bloomer but finally putting it together. if he can learn to hit lefties just a little he will be a 30 homer guy the rest of the way. He absolutely mashes righties and always has.

this tulowitzki fellas light has come on. good to see these young ones develop under the pressure of the big show.

fontenot could always hit. theriot has shown with extended playing time that he is more likely a lifetime utility player but a must need for a team in contention.

I've seen a lot of baseball games in my day, but last nights was one for the ages. The Rockies were never in it until they scored 6 in the 9th, only to blow it.

On a positive note, the Rockies announcers were extremely positive on the LSU connection of Fontenot, Theriot & Hawpe. They mentioned it numerous times.

Hope those guys can hang on in the majors until we get some more up there. Gives me more the reason to check all the boxes every morning. Keeps me regular. :hihi:

Fontenot just hit an RBI double to the base of the wall in dead center of Wrigley.
