With apologies to all the Navy and Marine folks on the board, Army has been guaranteed a spot in the EagleBank Bowl against Temple with a win. That alone is reason to root for Army. Actually, this could be the best version of this game all-decade. Navy, despite another ND victory, is a bit down in year 2 under coach Ken Hawiannameicantpronounceorspell. Army, while certainly not good, has not been as much of a bad team as in the past and they beat vandy in OT this year. And I really like that this game is on a weekend by itself. It certainly would have been completely forgotten in last weeks packed schedule.
Sorry Crip...GO NAVY !! (Father and Grandfather were both captains in the Navy). (Father-in-law was Naval fighter pilot).
To me, the Army-Navy game means that the CF season is officially over. I'm Air Force so fuggem. They won't even let us play.
Retired AF, but I'd like to see the Cadets win today and get a trip to a bowl game. And since we can't beat the Middies I'd like to see Army do it.
