That's what happens when you get ESPN's 10 string team for a 10 AM broadcast. He went to school at CSU. That was probably his first trip to La.
I would not have ask that guy to be an LSU Homer, but his analysis of the replay plays was just plain wrong.
Lsu favored by 15 on the road in Knoxville. Unfortunately we get the interims first game as predicted. 6pm espn.
My thoughts exactly on Etling. I hate to criticize him because he played his best game all year. He is a gamer, no doubt about it. However, his short comings are just frustrating. He lacks the arm strength to make a lot of throws so I think he gets gun shy to just let the ball go to throw a receiver open. When he waits he comes up short. Overall, it was his best game. I would like to have seen Brennan get some snaps. On another note, our WR's have to learn to catch more with their hands. Too many drops, Chark included. I really like how Sulliva looks to be coming into his own. He was catching with his hands, made a few plays. This team should be loaded next year, especially if we can get a few big pick ups in recruiting.
What sucks is it seems to me like the receivers drop too many balls that hit their hands. When you have a qb that is super inconsistent, it's up to the receivers to bring down everything they possibly can. At times this season we generally get an eradic Etling that makes bad throws and then makes some throws that could be brought down but the receivers don't. The one time I thought the receivers did this was against Auburn.
White admitted his tackling was poor this game... he still won SEC defensive player of the week again...
