Oh gawd. "Isn't the ball carrier?" Read the rule. It has nothing to do with carrying the ball, offense, defense, or anything akin. It's to the helmet. You cant' see the picture for all the stripes.
You're supposed to see the head slap from the left tackle in Terry's video, not from the ball carrier.
I saw that. That's not what Fournette did. Fournette was trying to avoid being tackled while he had the ball. And he shoved, really f'n hard. The Alabama dude just bitch slapped the other guy coming from the side of his body, Fournette's came from his elbow behind his chest then forward in a shoving motion. And if you want me to be really honest I don't see a problem with what the Alabama guy did either. Is a slap with a palm to the helmet really gonna cause injury?
I see a bunch of shit watching it live. I thought the Florida guy targeted Rickey Jefferson on that block when I saw it live, but when I saw it again it was clear it wasn't.
Who knows? What is important is that it can get you flagged. Fournette needs to remember this. It also fires up opponents to punish Fournette and show him that they are as tough as he's is. It's just not smart football. He needs to protect himself when he's going down if he wants to have a long career.
They were trying to poke him in his eyes and the refs wouldn't do shit. Fuck them assholes. The opponents are already fired up to play him that's why he will get the Shaq treatment. Watch the shit Bama does him. With that said Ritter would have had him ejected.
