    After a few days of disagreement over opinions and the start of football;

    Not a fuck is given.

    I thought about this thread when I saw this. Let it be known that as I've said before I don't give a shit about marriage one way or the other.

    Not sure what the relevance of the great great grandfather is. My great great grandfather was probably Christian. Who cares. If thereis a social norm it is not relevant if his grandpa violated it. The existence of deviants does not disprove his point. His point is actually sort of true, just not relevant.

    Rather than take the time to comb this entire thread I'll just say what I think is a relevant question.

    If marriage is a fundamental right, then on what basis do we disallow it to polygamous or group marriages? Why should it be disallowed to siblings who swear not to bear children?

    I don't think the legalization of gay marriage and polygamous marriage differ substantively on the merits of the arguments in favor of them. They differ only in terms of the number of activists committed to their cause.

    when the chick-fil-a rallies/protests were occuring you and I made a friendly bet that chick-fil-a would eventually have to change course or risk losing a large chunk of their customer base. Without saying exactly those words, this article states clearly that chick-fil-a has felt the backlash. Otherwise they wouldn't be ceasing funding to any fundamentalist christian groups who oppose gay marraige.

    so the transgenders claim they have found documents that reveal they win. they claim chick fil will not fun the national org for marriage, which says they never were funded anyways. so what exactly channged? so lesbians made some crap up? what did chick fil a say? they said nothing they still are religious and support straight marriage and still make money and still dont care at all, exactly as i always said they would.

    "TCRA said that means Chick-fil-A will no longer donate to "Focus on the Family and the National Organization for Marriage."
    In a statement today, the National Organization for Marriage says it has "never received funding" from the WinShape Foundation."

    if you are not funding funding something you never funded, what are you changing?
