    Then you are a fool at politics. Politics are about representing the people and you have to be able to understand what the people are thinking to succeed. No one votes for a President to do whatever he wants. They vote for him to do what THEY want.


    Neither. Like the American public his position on the issue has has evolved. People can change their minds without lying. The idea that he was "incompetent and making a decision based on incorrect intelligence from the bible" is simply idiotic. It's a personal choice about a social issue that has no right or wrong answer, therefore it is impossible to be incompetent, unlike ignoring real intelligence about WMD's.

    you are very good at demonstrating how disingenuous the left is.

    you wouldnt be arguing for "representing the public" if the argument was that the majority wanted to go to war in iraq.

    and again, this idea that a position "evolved" is absolute nonsense. when obama opposed gay marriage due to his adherence to bronze age mythology, that is what is called "incompetence". terrible terrible incompetence. to say he just had an opinion and it evolved is to say "i am a liberal and i defend my side no mater what and my opinion is meaningless"

    of course my last post assumes that obama was telling the truth about his view on gay marriage and religion, which he definitely was not. obama is a passionate and skilled liar and his ambition matters far more to him that his honesty does.

    i am discussing right and wrong, not trying to get elected. when i ask whether a decision was wrong, i dont ask what the american people think. the american people are stupid shitheads. i know the correct answers regarding gay rights without looking at polls. do you?

    Of course not. There is no right or wrong answer in how one decides to perceive the issue. Nobody knows . . . except for the self-indulgent, self-important, self-proclaimed iconoclasts with delusions of personal grandeur and scatological disdain for everyone else.

    So to recap this thread…we went from talking about gay marriage or more specifically the lack of it being possible in North Carolina…to child porn…to the Iraq war and WMD…teetered back to gay marriage for a second and are rounding the bases and are now comparing the two candidates in the next election.

    Is that about it?

    I think it's interesting you wanna keep this on gay marriage, just sayin! We will all help you get through this.

    Speaking of, someone has got to get these people under control, they are creating a semi state of anarchy in some places and if there is one thing I can't stand it's Gay Anarchy. Can't have these people marauding the streets carrying their teacup white dogs or "Chicks" walking around with black leather wallets and a chain attached to it.....they are allowed to get married in some parts of this country and it's like they wanna burn the rest of it to the ground.

    Seems like I read a story awhile back where gays were complaining about "bride" and "groom" being on marriage licenses, this is the exact kind of Anarchy I'm talking about. Give em marriage and they just get greedy. Beggars can’t be choosers, and gays can’t both be the groom. Or do you think they both wanna be the bride? I feel like the lesbians would both wanna check groom and the gay guys might wanna both check bride. But then again, I’m horribly ignorant and a flaming hetero so I just don’t know anything about this. Could be the total opposite.....I feel like my brain is about to explode writing all that.

    yes, romney is incompetent. and obama was incompetent before. although again i would argue that

    1 he was lying before

    and

    2. marriage is a non-issue like communion

    the question i always ask is whether i prefer an incompetent or liar. generally i prefer sincerity.
