On the media hypocracy surrounding the President's flip-flop, Bristol Palin knocks it out of the park: http://www.patheos.com/blogs/bristolpalin/2012/05/hail-to-the-chiefs-malia-and-sasha-obama/
What a dimwit. 1. Obama has said nothing at all about her mother and father. Some reporter asked Michelle Bachman a question Palin did not like, upon which she made assumptions based on nothing. 2. Obama has made no change in public policy. He made a change in his personal position on an issue in which the entire country has made a remarkable change in the last 6 years. Congress makes the laws.
I see the problem as the government sanctioning marriage. This brings it out of the realm of nomenclature. Red is right about non religious people wanting to be married. Marriage between men and women pre dates Christianity. It is as old as the human race. Same sex couples can do whatever they want to and call their relationship whatever they want to. If your mantra is "separation of church and state" then let's really separate it. Take the government completely out of the equation. A same sex couple should be able to go to any attorney and have him draw up a partnership between them in which the relationship is legally defined and rights are protected...terms of dissolving the partnership can even be spelled out. And you can call it whatever you want..."Bob and Fred's bedroom adventure" for all I care. But it shouldn't be SANCTIONED by The federal government. Because the only real sanctioning of a true covenant relationship that exists is between man and woman and is only sanctioned by God. (Sanction, from the Latin Sanctus which implies made holy)
You said I was in denial, denial of what? You are just making random claims with nothing to back them up. Therefore, I believe you didn't really read anything I said before you posted.
The fact that there were not any WMD's in Iraq! Did you forget? Your denial is in trying to explain it away when even Bush admits they were not there. What random claims? I stated that there were no WMD's in Iraq and Cheney lied about it. You want back up? 1. Our own inspectors, who spent 10 years on the ground with UNSCOM destroying Iraqi chemical weapons, testified that there were no WMD's in Iraq, no nuclear weapons, no chemical weapons, no biological weapons. The one they found after the Gulf War were all destroyed. This advice was ignored by the Bush administration. 2. Our own army invaded and occupied Iraq for 9 years, going into every nook and cranny on the ground, and they discovered the same thing. No WMDs existed.
