Watching the game yesterday I also felt like Auburn had improved. I even felt a little nervous with their hurry up offense add to that their lil scat back qb. THEN I looked at the score and wasn't so sure my feelings were justified. Yeah, I thought we had qb issues. There's some qb issues there.
The bama game is going to a game where every play counts. There won't be many points scored. We will have to catch the ball much better. We are going to have to have our offensive line back at full strength. We will have to run the ball like we did aginst uo and play defense like we did aginst moo state. If our receivers have the dropies like yesterday we will lose. We will have to get turnovers and score off them. This is where honey badger comes in. If he can get us another one of his defensive scores, that may just win us the game.
Well, that's the key, isn't it. FU thought the same thing and was intent on stopping him and we all saw how that turned out. And, although it was a 'paper stat' because they hadn't played anyone, FU came into the game leading the nation in rush defense and #3 gashed them. What I'm saying is, doing it is easier said then done (obviously). But, we controlled him and Ingram last year, so it can be done, but there cannot be any arm tackles or he'll run right through them and might take your arm with him.
#3 is the complete deal but if you get big on big you can stop him. The blocking by Bama on the Gator DL was amazing !! We can't be pushed around like that or no way we win. I would say if you get 17 pts in that game you win. If we cheat and slow #3 I will be happy. Les and Chief have had good plans in the past to stop the short guy.
I love the idea of beating The Gators The Vols The War Eagles Plainsmen Tigers Big Bama I will enjoy Sat to the max !!! I will smell somebody frying up some Gator and drink a beer ! I will watch somebody beat up a stuffed Gator and drink a beer !!! I will yell Tiger Bait at some Gators as they walk by ! and drink a beer I will walk into Tiger Stadium and wish I could drink a beer I will watch LSU take the field cheering and then boooo as the Gators take the field !!!! Beating the Gators - priceless
I agree that LSU has a good chance of beating all 4 of these teams: Gators - LSU's strength matches up well with the UF deficiencies. Vols - not enough defense to hang with LSU Auburn - same as Vols but better Special teams play. AU offense can put up enough points, but they won't get the chance if they're sitting on the sidelines watching LSU's rushing attack. Bama - if Lee starts, LSU wins. If JJ starts, bama will win.
