South Carolina could barely beat Navy... at home, none-the-less... Garcia, himself, is an oddsmaker's dream. How Spurrier sticks with him is amazing, given the Spurrier we fans have come to "know and love".....
Bama's D is every bit as stout as ours. Their offense looks solid as long as Richardson is moving the chains whenever he wants to. Maze is a talent but he's no better than a typical SEC #1. Certainly good enough to beat you but not special. Richardson has Kevin Faulk-esque talent. If we can keep him relatively in check and pressure their QB, we will have success. People are saying Bama's QB is so poised and everything but I've never even seen him touched by a defender. We'll see how cool he is after a body slam. We have more weapons offensively than they do, hopefully that will amount to something. It'll come down to who can move the chains on the ground and who can affect the other QB the most with pressure.
Lee and McCarron are similar in that they do not fare well against the pass rush. Both QBs could get knocked out of that game.
Some of you guys are pretty over-confident about us going head to head with Alabama. They looked good last night on both sides of the ball. Their big offensive line probably played their best game of the season and had no trouble pushing Florida around like they were a high school team. If both teams are firing on all cylinders come Nov 5th I would have no idea what to expect. If the team we saw last night played the team we saw yesterday morning then I would have some serious concerns.
Bama will be a difficult game. They have the best offensive line we’ll see all year. Not to mention the defense. ldskule:
I'm not too confident vs Bama. We can win but we have to have our A game. If Richardson would have put on an LSU hat at his signing press conference instead of that Atlanta Braves hat I'd be very confident. I was confused. I thought he was going to play pro baseball. Turns out he thought it was an Alabama hat.
Bama & Wisc. look like the best teams out there besides us. I am not convinced we beat bama as easy as some are. I do think this will be your NC game because the winner takes it all IMO. Bama's secondary is scarey good and can turn it up when they have too. It will take a smart qb and good play calling to beat them. Mistake free football or we are toast.
One week at a time folks!!.......All of these teams are good enough that if your looking ahead to some other game they can beat you!! So as of right now....I say we focus on Florida and worry about Bama on that weeks game!!
I thought at the beginning of the season that we would beat Aubarn 50-0 at home. Now I am concerned about that game being a trap game for us....
You do take one game at a time - Gators next and I am going to love it ! Tenn at Vols land and Rocky top ! going to love it Auburn at home - going to love it Bama - they have a nice team ! going to love it
