Some Fl fans are nuts. They still think they deserved to win that game. Their TOP in the 4th quarter was two minutes and seconds! When you get smoked in the 4th, you deserve to lose, just ask Ohio State fans this morning.
Well .... you've missed the BIG point!!! Their QBs don't play on the defense. Our Offense pretty much scored at will. Even our Punter scored a TD on them. The final score was in no way consistent with what our offense could have done to them. CLM pulled back after the 1st quarter to the point of ... "just punt on first down and give them the ball back out of mercy". This game was a HUGE statement ... the LSU Offense can move the ball and score as it needs to against the 7th ranked Defense in the Nation. For this to NOT have been a statement game, the score would have looked more like 14-3 or something. Oh yeah .. this was a statement game alright.

no, I didn't miss the point. I know which side of the ball the qb plays on. I'll admit I didn't expect our offense to roll over the gator defense the way it did but when they were on defense for as long as they were, they got worn down just like all the other defenses LSU has played. Decent quarterback play can help the defense not have to be on the field as much, you know.
I think it more had to do with making other teams have to game plan for it now. If it takes 1 rep away from Bama's game planning against it, it was worth it. Same thing Bama did with Richardson in the wildcat.
