I think he was saying that LSU only called the jump pass because they were playing Florida. I believe he is right. The Tigers have never used the jump pass before but Les put it in the playbook for a special occasion. It had a be a little dig at Florida and it's getting a lot of play on the highlight shows. :miles:
I find their posts rather funny and I like the thought of rubbing it in to the Gators after all they have done the same to us at times in the past. What comes around goes around.
Maybe, but you don't need the #1 QB in the country. It hasn't helped ND, not helping UF so far either. Matt Mauck, Matt Flynn, our current QBs, none were anywhere NEAR the #1 QB in the country. Hell, they weren't even the #1 QBs in their states. But yes, you definitely need someone who does not turn the ball over, and makes good decisions. We have that this season.
Exactly! When you beat a team 58-3, believe me, you'll lose that badly one day down the road. And we took it easy on them. We could have scored 60 easily.
I'm lovin' it! Somebody find more quotes about the jump pass. Jump pass(payback from 2006) and the 30-point win(payback from 2008) have made this the most fun LSU win for me since the BCS title game vs. Ohio State. Geaux Tigers!!
This, this, and this. Now they know how it feels. maybe they won't act like smug little a$$ clowns the next time they bully a team that is shorthanded or has deficiencies at key positions. Definitely a good win with some well deserved nose rubbing (jump pass) but I certainly don't feel it was any kind of a statement game when the 3rd string qb is starting.
+1. UF has embarrassed us plenty of times in the past. It's nice to be on the plus side of that now. :geauxtige
