I never considered Bryant a Cheater but he like Huey Long took advantage of areas most people never thought of...like giving track and Basketball scholarships to players that would have started on other teams in football. Did you ever notice of all the rules that were put in place after he retired!
Would be much like trying to explain to the sports world, everyone is doing steroids. Some will say no way, others, who cares, others, everyone is doing it. So if you admire his body of work as a football coach, so be it. But distinguishing coach Bryant as a cheater and dirty coach as opposed to most of his peers, may be the result of being on the short end of one too many games in BR on a Saturday night. So be it.
