A bunch of the refineries will probably be shut down or cut back. No one has the inventory on hand to run for extended periods at full capacity without crude coming up river.
Thats right, but remember also, many plants use barges as floating storage. This too has been taken away.
It's already happening. Average price for a gallon of gas went up $.02 yesterday. Speculators fear the affect of flooded refineries.

CBS Radio reported a 24 cent per gallon drop in wholesale prices yesterday. I heard that as I was driving past a station here in town that had just increased its price by about 9 cents.
they are slow to adjust downward. quick to adjust upward. it will be coming down. not sure for how long though.
