If Les leaves (and that is looking more and more likely), what percentage would you place on LSU landing Gary Patterson? I can't imagine someone of his talent turning down an opportunity to coach with the Big Boys in the SEC and prove exactly what he can do, but you never know...apparently Peterson is mesmerized by the Smurf Turf in Boise. I'm going to say LSU with a 65% chance...On the one hand he can come to the SEC and prove himself in the best conference in the land. On the other hand, he can stay at TCU and go to the Big East, dominate that conference year in and year out, and get an AQ to the BCS every year (because it makes so much sense geographically for TCU to be in the Big East...). Let's here your thoughts guys.
I think they need to go all out and convince Les Miles to stay at LSU. It seems like he's turned the fan base around and is starting to get appreciated here in Baton Rouge. Next year he'll have a real shot at the national championship which would further cement his status at LSU.
LSU job wasn't open when that happened. Not saying he'd come, or be hired but extensions mean nothing unless you're a colored woman.
