I'm willing to give credit where it's do. I also believe rather strongly, if he isn't playing the Bengals..............next up, he is not complaining about "life's lessons" as fervently with the national media no less. But frankly, I'm an SEC homer and I will be hoping LSU dismantles and snatches the manhood from these superficial froghorns.
Then why not simply have the balls to say that you don't want to suspend him and take responsibility for it like a grown man? Playing a childish BS game about his teammates voting him back is disingenuous at best and downright weaselish at worst. Why put that on your team when you are ultimately responsible?
Dude, chill. He ALSO SAID that more punishment was to come. Has CLM not made the right moves with regard to player punishment in the past? Give the man some credit.
You are taking one piece out of a sequence of events over the span of months. And, it is just what is known publicly. I'll let CLM handle things the way he see's fit, and support that. Once all is completed, then cast judgement about appropriateness. As TigerFan has established, JH has been punished in many ways during this time period for something that most of us have been in similar situations, but once it was over, it was over. JHs situation was relived/rehashed publicly over and over, has gone to court, and faced reinstatement questions for months. I am confident that there have been all sorts of discussions behind the scenes by CLM, staff, admin, as it played out as to how to handle it, and likely communication to others about that, too. This was one step that was meant to build team unity, as KyleK eludes to, and I think it worked from the team's standpoint (judging from video interviews of the players - see nola.com).
