Nah. CLM has already said Hill would be the starter had it not been for his trouble. Hill is better than Blue. Period. That says more about Hill than it does about Blue, because Blue is a beast.
Miles is never going to announce whether or not Hill will play against TCU (my bet is that he won't, by the way). Just like others have stated, it's his MO to keep suspensions and injuries close to the vest--always has done that to screw with opposing coaches (very old school.) Patterson now looks like a supreme douche bag by speaking out about this when half his team was dealing drugs two years ago, and he took back his drug-dealing, drunk-driving QB. I'm glad he did because I look forward to us putting his sorry ass on the ground all night (similar to how I feel about wanting Manziel back to do the same to him.)
Patterson never loses in September I expect TCU to be a tremendous challenge for LSU. Alabama & Auburn alum I've spoken too from my company think this game will be hard to win. LSU'S coaching staff should win it, if possible, then punish Mr. Hill.
No. No. No. Phony discipline. Who was the SEC coach a few years ago that announced discipline for a star player was that he wouldn't start in a big game, and then put him in on the second play? It was either Florida or Auburn. Anyway, you either punish or you don't. And you punish, in part, to demonstrate to all involved that no one player is bigger than the team. To pick and choose when you will punish negates that message.
I don't necessarily disagree with what Patterson is saying but at the same time, stay in your lane. This isn't your business. Throwing rocks out of his sheet glass house. STFU and take this ass whipping like a man...with Hill not even in attendance. And while our boys deliver the ass whipping I hope our fans keep yelling "IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT GARY!" I'd buy Hill a ticket to sit right next to Patterson's family and just smile all night...as long as he doesn't have an underaged daughter that is...LOL. Would that be an illegal benefit per NCAA guidelines? With that said I still think he's a great coach and would love to have him IF CLM ever chose to leave the program. But for now, kick his ass seabass!
I can believe you easily. I was reacting to the reports to the contrary. It sure seemed like it was up to the team, but I can't imagine Miles handling this situation any differently than the others he faced. Patterson probably believed the initial reports' slant. I don't question Miles at all. He's handled all the other situations properly....like a father would.
