Isn't Danielson the same one who was saying Dorsey shouldn't put his pro career in jeopardy by playing another down for us after injuring his knee? I may be thinking about someone else, but I thought it was him. Couldn't agree more. Him and Brad Nessler are my 2 favorite play by play announcers.
Yep, he said that and insinuated that Miles was selfish in playing him at all--for the rest of the season.
For the most part, he did not support LSU to go to the NC game in 2007, though. Everyone, including him, was on LSUs bandwagon after the Va. Tech game, but the rest of the season he was basically saying they were overrated. Believe me, I was going ballistic game after game at some of the comments he would make. I may have been mixed up about the AUB game. I knew that was the game that Dorsey got chop blocked and remember GD saying how CLM should not be starting him, but that was the very next game.
Verne becomes Ed McMahon when paired with Danielson. When he is with someone else less irritating who is not trying to be funny all of the time, Verne is more tolerable, IMO. Agree with Brad Nessler choice.
Franklin/Nessler are the best hands down. I like Danielson, however. He is the guy who said during the LSU/OU 2003 BCS CG "You tell me OU fans, where do you want Jason White to throw to?" as LSU blanketed OU receivers possession after possession all game long.
yeah what happened to ron franklin? did he burn down an orphanage or something? that dude should be announcing games. i liked the tandem of him and gottfried even though gottfried was probably drunker than joe namath and pat summerall combined.
